What They Say About Us

I traveled with a team to build a children’s home. I can’t express enough how fulfilling it was to know that a family (9 children whose parents had died) would soon be blessed in a fully furnished home with bedrooms, a kitchen and running water. Their joyful, thankful faces were the greatest reward I could ask for.

MARGARET KOOMAN, SEMI-RETIRED

Visit Serengeti for a safari, play games and laugh with children in schools, cook a meal with a local family in a completely authentic village environment, enjoy the beach by the Indian ocean. A true hands of experience.

Trip Date: *Due to the current global Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Juma’s World  has postponed all volunteer experiences. Please check back soon for updates on upcoming travel to Tanzania. Also, make sure to sign up for our emails and be the first to know.

The young children in primary schools love visitors. The school master will have trouble keeping the children from hugging, smiling, laughing, and high-fiving with visitors. The team will be introduced to students through a translator, while members will be able to speak with the children inside and outside the classrooms. Bring some soccer balls or footballs for a great time at recess, and work as a team to creatively teach something to the vibrant, energetic children. Suggested activities and games will be overseen by members of your team.
